Christiane Ely
Born in the beautiful Lorraine in France, Christiane graduated in languages from Lille III University. Head hunted by NA companies like Xerox, Mitel Networks, she worked in international sales for 30 years. In parallel she worked as a freelance interpreter and was qualified as Public Services interpreter in 2006 in London (Law). In the meantime she settled in Surrey in UK. Christiane’s successful sales career then took her to work for the famous internet company, Google. She was very fortunate to have had an early retirement opportunity but then decided she was too young to retire!
Christiane chose instead to revisit her communication skills, her experiences of dealing with and looking after customers and using her languages. She began working for Noble Caledonia and is now a freelance Tour Manager, looking after and assisting Noble Caledonia guests during their sea, rivers or land tours. Christiane enjoys conversing with and sharing her travel knowledge and experiences with all passengers, always tries to help them enjoy their holiday and hopes they return home feeling very happy with their trip.
When at home Christiane still works as a freelance interpreter, a National Trust room guide Volunteer at Polesden Lacey (Bookham) or at the Charity Debra. Still learning to play Golf having practised for 20 years, she plays when she can but her handicap is going up unfortunately.
